Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle, ensuring driving force security and preventing torque drop during a transition period of a stepped transmission.SOLUTION: The control device for the vehicle is equipped with: the stepped transmission 6 having an engine 1, a second motor generator 5, driving wheels 32, 32, and a frictional clutch 7 and a dog clutch 8 which are fastened at a high gear stage and at a low gear stage, respectively, as speed change elements in a driving system. The control system also includes: a speed change control means for outputting a connection/disconnection instruction of the dog clutch 8 and slip-fastening the friction engagement element 7 when shifting is requested. Having a dog clutch fork position switch F for detecting the connection/disconnection of the dog clutch 8, the speed change control device corrects a hydraulic pressure instruction starting value Ths to the friction engagement element 7 in the next speed change control based on a difference between a hydraulic pressure target value Tht of the friction engagement element when the friction engagement element 7 for connecting and disconnecting the dog clutch 8 is slip-fastened and a hydraulic pressure instruction value Thoto the friction engagement element 7 when the dog clutch 8 is actually connected and disconnected.
