Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report accurate position information and reduce power consumption resulting from transmission.SOLUTION: Portable information equipment includes: a current position acquisition part (S11) for acquiring a current position; a current position transmission part for transmitting the obtained current position to a server; and a congestion-degree acquisition part (S14) for acquiring a congestion degree of the current position from the server. The current position transmission part transmits the obtained current position to the server (S21) on the condition that distance between the obtained current position and the transmitted current position is not less than a threshold value determined based on the obtained congestion degree (YES in S17).
