PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a musical sound signal processing parameter from a music control device to a music editing device or a musical sound signal processing device, in a communication style suitable to a connection state of the music editing device to the music control device.SOLUTION: This electronic music system includes the music editing device ED, the music control device MC and the musical sound signal processing device TG. If communication of the music control device MC with the music editing device ED is possible, when setting instruction is received from the editing device ED by a first communication means UMc, the musical sound signal processing parameter (setting data) is set by knob operation, according to a setting condition (template TM) corresponding to the setting instruction, and the set musical sound signal processing parameter is transmitted by the first communication means UMc, according to a first communication form (system exclusive). Meanwhile, if communication with the editing device ED is not possible, the musical sound signal processing parameter (setting data) which is set by knob operation is transmitted to the musical sound signal processing device TG by a second communication means DMc according to a second communication form (control change).
