Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television apparatus wherein a display apparatus is downsized, an installed place of the television apparatus is not limited, a designing flexibility is ensured, and the apparatus is advantageous in improvement of fine view.SOLUTION: The television apparatus 10 comprises: the display apparatus 12 with a low profile; a stand 20 for supporting the display apparatus 12; and a signal processing section 70A. The stand 20 is constituted of: a placing part 21; a lower turning part 22A turnably connected to the placing part 21; and an upper turning part 22B provided on the lower turning part 22A and supporting the display apparatus 12 at its tip. The signal processing section 70A is configured to display an image on a display panel 1202 on the basis of a radio wave received from a broadcast station, or a video signal and an audio signal supplied from an external device, and is provided away from the display apparatus 12 and the stand 20.
