Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for displaying an image on a display device mounted in a vehicle.SOLUTION: In response to a predetermined instruction signal, a composite image viewed from a virtual viewpoint located around and above a vehicle in a direction toward the vehicle is generated on the basis of a plurality of images captured by a plurality of cameras which photograph surrounding areas of the vehicle. A plurality of composite images wherein the position of the virtual viewpoint is changed stepwise so that the viewpoint moves around the vehicle, are sequentially output to the display device. Thereby, a user confirms the entire circumference of the vehicle from a viewpoint at which the user sees the vehicle in front of the user, to intuitively recognize positional relationship between the vehicle and obstacles in one screen.
