Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that electrical rotating machines are so structured that the direction of discharge of cooling air produced by a cooling fan and the inclination of a diffuser are orthogonal to each other, and for this reason, the diffuser increases airflow resistance and the cooling air is not efficiently discharged from discharge ports provided circumferentially in an outer peripheral portion of a bracket, so that armature winding is not sufficiently cooled.SOLUTION: An electrical rotating machine includes a rotor 12 having a cooling fan fixed on an end face thereof, a stator 17 that is arranged opposite to the rotor with a rotation clearance provided therebetween and has armature winding 17b, a bracket for supporting the rotor and the stator, multiple intake ports that are provided in a sidewall portion of the bracket, and multiple discharge ports that are provided circumferentially in an outer peripheral portion of the bracket. Multiple diffusers are provided circumferentially on an inner wall surface of a corner portion of the bracket, the diffusers being inclined toward the side opposite to a rotational direction of the rotor. |
