Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed winding motor which insulating paper is efficiently fitted to, and also to provide a manufacturing method of a stator.SOLUTION: In the distributed winding motor, insulating paper 50 is used for insulation protecting one winding from that of the other phase and from a stator core constituting the stator. Insulating paper has: an intra-slot insulating part 51 covering the outer periphery of the winding arranged in the slot of the stator core, bridging parts of the winding, which are arranged to follow both end faces in an axial direction of the stator core; and interphase insulating parts 52 disposed in a boundary with a bridging part of the winding of the other phase, which is installed in the adjacent slot. The inter-phase insulating part is formed to extend from at least one part of an end in the axial direction of the intra-slot insulating part.
