Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide porous carbon in which the addition effect of metal particles can be maintained over a long period of time by inhibiting the oxidation of the metal particles and well dispersing the metal particles, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The method for producing the porous carbon includes: a step of mixing a polyamic acid resin varnish 1 as a carbon precursor, magnesium oxide 2 as template particles and chloroplatinic acid 6 as a metal salt; a step of heat-treating the resulting mixture at 1,000°C in a nitrogen atmosphere for 1 h, whereby the chloroplatinic acid is reduced to platinum and the polyamic acid resin is thermally decomposed to form carbon 3 containing platinum particles 7; and a step of washing the resulting carbon 3 with a sulfuric acid solution added at a rate of 1 mol/L to thoroughly elute the MgO. |
