Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gaseous hydrocarbon recovering apparatus capable of removing gaseous hydrocarbon from an intermittently produced gaseous hydrocarbon-containing air stream with high efficiency and enhanced in the rate of operation, and a method for recovering the gaseous hydrocarbon.SOLUTION: The gaseous hydrocarbon recovering apparatus 100 is constituted so that a plurality of adsorbing and desorbing columns 14 are connected to a gas-liquid separator 8 in parallel at the time of adsorption of gaseous hydrocarbon and two of a gaseous hydrocarbon supply pump 5, a condenser and the gas-liquid separator 8 subjected to the adsorption of the gaseous hydrocarbon are connected in series at the time of desorption of the gaseous hydrocarbon.
