PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece support rotating device capable of clamping a workpiece so as to allow the position of the centroid of the workpiece to be near a rotating axis of a rotating support body and of suppressing power consumption. SOLUTION: The workpiece support rotating device has a support body, a rotating holding body rotatably supported by the support body so as to hold the workpiece, a motor 35 for rotating the rotating holding body, and a control panel 4 for controlling the motor 35. The workpiece support rotating device has an ammeter 36 for detecting the electric current value of the motor 35 and an encoder 17 for detecting the rotating angle of the rotating holding body. The control panel 4 includes an eccentric angle detection means 42 for detecting the eccentric angle of the centroid of the workpiece. The eccentric angle detection means 42 includes an angle search part 47 for inputting a detection signal from the ammeter 36 and the encoder 17 and searching a rotating angle at a maximum electric value and a subtraction part 48 for obtaining the eccentric angle by subtracting the searched rotating angle from a maximum load generating angle during rotation of the workpiece.
