Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a method, and/or a system for controlling the temperature of fuel so that the fuel can be consistently supplied to a combustor at a proper temperature in consideration of the heating value and target modified Wobbe index evaluation of an engine. SOLUTION: This method controls the operation of a turbine engine provided with a heat exchange portion 52, a heating value meter, a cold leg bypass 76 comprising an alternate fuel pipe bypassing the heat exchanging portion 52, and one or more valves for controlling the amount of the fuel guided through the heat exchange portion 52. The method comprises a step of measuring the heating value of the fuel, a step of determining the target temperature range based on the heating value and a target modified Wobbe index range, and a step of controlling the fuel that bypasses the heat exchange portion 52 such that the temperature of the fuel is within the target temperature range.
