SOLUTION: A classification section 32 classifies a plurality of images read from a memory card 2 and acquired by a digital camera into a plurality of groups in the unit of date. A representative data selection section 34 selects the prescribed number of representative data from each of the groups. A display control section 28 lays out thumbnail pictures of the prescribed number of representative data to date regions classified in the unit of date and displays the resulting data on a monitor 6.
