Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video monitor for easily writing and reproducing video data. SOLUTION: The video monitor 10 includes a storage device 20, and camera devices 12a and 12b for capturing video and writing the captured video data in the storage device 20. The camera devices 12a and 12b have an area allocation processing part 14 for preparing management information 25 about a writing area of the video data to be written in the storage device 20 and recording it, and a writing processing part 16 for writing the video data in the storage device 20 on the basis of the management information. The storage device 20 includes an area management table 22 in which the management information 25 is recorded by the area allocation processing part and which inhibits simultaneous accesses from the camera devices 12a and 12b, and a writing area part in which the video data are written by the writing processing part.
