Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user of a store to smoothly perform a seat reservation. SOLUTION: A store management system 100 connects store management terminals 201 each managing self-order terminals 210 inside a store and user terminals 300 via a network. A database 100 holds information related to congestion situations of the stores based on login information of the user indicating that the user logs into the self-order terminal 210 and in-store layout information of seats of the stores. A Web server 111, 112 receives information related to the seat reservation from the user terminal 300, processes the seat reservation based on the information related to the congestion situation, and transmits it to the store management terminal 201. A communication optimization device 102 totals access to the Web servers 111, 112 from the user terminal 300 in each store, and distributes a load accompanying the processing of the seat reservation to each Web server based on a totaling result thereof.
