Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal working oil composition effective for prevention of color change, so-called oil burning, generated on a surface of a steel plate after rolling without impairing lubrication property at high speed rolling. SOLUTION: The metal working oil composition includes (A) 5-98 mass% of a palm olein oil having an iodine number of 56-72 and an elevation melting point of 24°C or lower, (B) 0.5-45 mass% of a hydrocarbon substituent in which the carbon number of succinic acid is 10-20, (C) 0.5-15 mass% of a hydrocarbon substituent in which the carbon number of succinic acid is 50-90, and (D) 1-35 mass% of phospholipid, and the formulation amount of component (B) relative to the formulation amount of component (C) is 1-3 times.
