Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve energy efficiency of a whole vehicle. SOLUTION: A controller 10 for a hybrid vehicle 1 includes: a current position calculating section 38 for detecting a position of an own vehicle; a map data storing section 34 for storing map data having setting position information of charging facility capable of charging a battery 16; a route calculating section 39 for acquiring route information from the current position of the own vehicle to a destination; a remaining capacity detecting section 41 for detecting the remaining capacity of the battery 16; and an output calculating section 42 for calculating power consumption amount in the case where the own vehicle travels from the current position of the own vehicle to the destination by power of each motor 12, 14 based on the route information, and controlling operation of an internal combustion engine 11 and each motor 12, 14 so as to set the remaining amount as zero at reaching the destination in the case where the power consumption amount is greater than the remaining amount and the charging facility is prepared in the destination.
