Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna system whose size can be further reduced and design is easy. SOLUTION: An antenna system includes at least: a first antenna having a first slot antenna and a first artificial medium; and a second antenna having a second slot antenna provided so as to be adjacent to the first antenna and a second artificial medium. The first and second artificial media are arranged on the same plane of an insulating layer, and when electromagnetic waves are combined, an electric current in a first direction flows in the first artificial medium and the electric current in a second direction different from the first direction flows in the second artificial medium.
