Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device which neither deforms nor damages a lead frame or the like even if the lead frame is a thin type, is adaptive to many kinds of shape, size and pattern, and can easily and reliably carry the lead frame. SOLUTION: The lead frame 1 or the like to be carried is made to be sucked to each suction plate 2 having a smooth back surface by using surface tension of a liquid a1sticking in a previous processing process, moved up and down and laterally moved in the state by a transfer member 13 integrated with the suction plate 2, and is carried to a main processing process B. There, the lead frame 1 or the like is separated, and after necessary processing is performed, the lead frame 1 or the like is sucked to a next suction plate 3 having a smooth back surface by using surface tension of a liquid a2which has stuck there. In this state, the suction plate 3 is put back to the original position by a transfer member 14, and the lead frame or the like is separated to be moved toward a post-processing process side.
