Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic matching body that stabilizes characteristics without spoiling the moisture resistance and improves productivity. SOLUTION: An acoustic matching body has: a matching member laminated on a surface of a porous body 13 and provided with a dense layer 12 consisting of a thermosetting resin and flow suppressing particles; and a sidewall member 15 adhering to an acoustic wave emission surface 3 and an outer periphery wall surface of the porous body 13. The porous body 13 is sealed by the dense layer 12 and the sidewall member 15, and the thickness of the sidewall member 15 in a radial direction is set to substantially become uniform toward an acoustic wave emission direction. Therefore, since the characteristics for transmitting an ultrasonic wave is stabilized and stable operation is possible even under a high-temperature and high-humidity environment or under a dew formation environment caused by the temperature variation or the like, the measurement accuracy can be improved.
