Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooker capable of detecting stoppage of a steam generation function including water shortage in a water tank, using a simple constitution having no water level sensor and capable of reducing the cost. SOLUTION: This heating cooker includes the water tank 30 arranged in an inside of a main casing 10; a steam generator 40 for generating steam by heating water supplied from the water tank 30; a heating chamber 20 supplied with the steam from the steam generator 40; an exhaust duct 72 provided inside its body casing 10 and used for exhaust from an inside of the heating chamber 20 to the outside of the main casing 10; an exhaust temperature sensor 74 for detecting an exhaust temperature of an atmosphere in the exhaust duct 72; and a steam generating function determining part for determining whether the steam generation function, including the water shortage in the water tank 30 is stopped, based on the exhaust temperature detected by the exhaust temperature sensor 74, in cooking in which the steam from the steam generator 40 is supplied to the heating chamber 20.
