Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance strength, to secure wear resistance, to enhance acoustic oscillation, to make weight light, to restrain brake noise and to make cost low in a pad for a disk brake employing a pressure plate made of a synthetic resin. SOLUTION: In the pad for the disk brake which is provided with a friction member and a pressure plate on back surface of the friction member, it is characterized in so that the pressure plate is made of the synthetic resin and is equipped with an engagement portion with a torque receiving member fixed to a vehicle body, and a reinforced material is at least embedded inside the engagement portion.
