Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bio-implant which has further improved bonding property to a bone compared with a conventional bio-implant having a surface structure to which a bone tissue easily invades when embedded in the body, and does not cause deterioration in the bonding property to the bone even with the existence of a region under a strict usage condition such as a load concentration. SOLUTION: The bio-implant is made of plastic, includes: a dense substance portion; and a porous surface layer formed on the surface of the substance portion. The substance portion has a projecting/recessed structure on the most surface. The surface layer is formed by the three-dimensional connection of pores. The thickness of the surface layer formed in each recessed portion of the projecting/recessed structure is at least twice as large as the thickness of the surface layer formed in each projecting portion of the projecting/recessed structure.
