Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for germination-induction and cultivation of carpophores including positively inducing generation of mushroom carpophores to the upper part of a mushroom bed to suppress the carpophores from generating from the side surface and the bottom surface of a mushroom bed, by solving the problem of occurrence of harmful fungi/harmful insect or early deterioration of the mushroom bed caused by conventional germination stimulation given for the second or following generation of carpophores in the mushroom bed after harvested. SOLUTION: The method for germination-induction and cultivation of carpophores includes a choking stimulation process where an air-impermeable covering material 2 is placed on the upper part 1a of a mushroom bed 1 and is left as it is for a prescribed period of time while giving choking stimulation to mushroom fungi at the part where the covering material is placed, and thereafter the air-impermeable covering material 2 is removed from the mushroom bed, so that the generation of carpophores is positively induced to the upper part 1a of the mushroom bed to which choking stimulation is given, and the generation of carpophores at other parts including the side surface 1b and the bottom surface given no choking stimulation is suppressed.
