Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera for correcting an image of a subject by simple processing even if an object is captured from the front. SOLUTION: An image pickup device 18 has an image pickup surface for capturing a subject field and outputs a subject image. A CPU 30 detects the distances to a plurality of positions of the object on the basis of the subject field image output from the image pickup device 18. Further, the CPU 30 calculates the inclination of an image pickup surface for the object on the basis of the distances detected by the described method, and executes coordinate conversion processing which has referred to the calculated inclination, to a plurality of pixels forming the subject field image output from the image pickup device 18.
