Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallized film capacitor with high reliability by suppressing an increase in dielectric tangent (tanδ) caused by thermal expansion and contraction due to heat generation in a capacitor and a rapid temperature change in a periphery. SOLUTION: The metallized film capacitor includes: a wound body 11 formed by laminating or winding metallized films, which are formed by metal-depositing separate dielectric films or same dielectric films except for margin parts formed on one side end parts of the separate dielectric films or both front and rear surfaces of the same dielectric film, by overlapping them so that the respective margin parts are positioned oppositely; Metallikon electrodes 14 arranged on both end surfaces 12 of the wound body; and a plurality of grooves 13 on both of the end surfaces 12 of the wound body 11.
