Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidimensional data identification device, a multidimensional data identification method, and a signal arrival direction estimation device correctly identifying a center-directing vector with a reduced arithmetic processing load even when an observed multidimensional vector undergoes a distortion to form a linear combination of highly correlative vectors with similar directions. SOLUTION: A wide identification area is prepared from two or more adjacent cells with a resolution at the time of identification, an inverse matrix of a matrix of combined reference vectors in every identification area is formed and accumulated in advance as identification data, an evaluation operation is performed using the inverse-matrix identification data and moving them sequentially within an objective space when identifying observation data, and identification is performed in terms of the wide identification area. The identification area is stepwise focused using an identification focusing area wider than the identification area, to reduce the operation load at the time of evaluation.
