Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance time and efforts for creating a new LUT corresponding to other print sheets by effectively utilizing a created LUT corresponding to specific print sheets when the LUT has been created. SOLUTION: In a reference print sheet A and a print sheet B of which the quantity of inks to be fixed per unit area is different from that of the print sheet A, an LUT (reference LUT) has been created for the print sheet A. A deviation between an ink saturation degree (=[the quantity of inks to be used]/[the maximum quantity of inks to be ejected]) for each of output colors of the reference LUT and an ink saturation degree for each of output colors of an LUT (new LUT) for the print sheet B is defined as a target function ΔE. The quantity of inks to be used to minimize the target function ΔE is calculated, and a correspondence relationship between input colors of the print sheet A and the quantity of inks to be used is predetermined to create the LUT for the print sheet B.
