Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device in which miniaturization and space saving of an optical drive device can be performed by contriving arrangement of each light emitting part and light receiving part for a plurality of kinds of optical recording media having different optical properties. SOLUTION: In the optical pickup device, when a body part reaches the remotest point from the center of the optical recording medium, one side out of a first light emitting part and a first light receiving part and a one side out of a second light emitting part and a second light receiving part are provided within an effective space made by a corner part of the body part and a case.
