Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bi-layer device having improved device performance and lifetime. SOLUTION: There is provided a composition including an aqueous dispersion of a polythienothiophene and colloid-forming polymer acid. A film obtained from the composition is useful as a hole injection layer in organic electronic devices, including electroluminescent devices such as, for example, organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays, as a hole extraction layer in organic optoelectronics devices such organic photovoltaic devices, and in combination with metal nanowires or carbon nanotubes in applications such as drain, source, or gate electrodes in thin film field effect transistors.
