Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator or a vegetable purchasing system capable of preserving vegetables in a fresh condition even if using a vegetable compartment of a conventional, general refrigerator. SOLUTION: The vegetable purchasing system includes a member's terminal having an input unit for inputting the vegetable purchase information needed for a member to purchase vegetables, a member site server which creates purchase-recommended vegetable information, i.e., information about vegetables recommended for purchase, based on the vegetable purchase information input by the input unit of the member's terminal, and a vegetable seller's terminal which creates vegetable sale and distribution information based on the purchase-recommended vegetable information created by the member site server, the terminals and the site server being connected to each other via a communication network. Based on information about a member's health condition and information about the space condition of a vegetable compartment of a refrigerator as the vegetable purchase information, the member site server selects vegetables having the amounts of nutrients required based on the member's health condition and to be stored in the vegetable compartment, and creates the purchase-recommended vegetable information.
