Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composition for organic electroluminescent element, forming the organic electroluminescent element with no occurrence of pin holes and dark spots by a wet film forming method. SOLUTION: The composition for an organic electroluminescent element is used for forming a layer, by a dry film forming method, which is arranged between a positive electrode and a negative electrode of the organic electroluminescent element, containing electric charge transportation material and solvent. The composition is manufactured through a heating step and a filtering step or an ultrasonic processing step, with its volume average particle size (d50) in particle size distribution being 400 nm or less.
