Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise components superposed on a photoreception signal by suppressing a leakage current of active elements configured to handle charge captured in a photoreceiving region. SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging apparatus includes the active elements configured to handle the charge captured in the photoreceiving region, an element isolation region configured to isolate regions of the active element, a first impurity region configured to surround the element isolation region, and a second impurity region as a region made of an impurity of lower impurity concentration than the first impurity region, wherein the second impurity region is provided between the first impurity region and active elements. Electronic equipment using the solid-state imaging apparatus is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
