Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge and discharge control method of a lithium ion secondary battery, a secondary battery system, and a hybrid automobile, capable of fully exhibiting the battery performance by controlling localization of Li ions in the lithium ion secondary battery having a positive electrode active material which performs two-phase coexisting charge and discharge. SOLUTION: In a method of controlling charge and discharge of the lithium ion secondary battery having the positive electrode active material which performs the two-phase coexisting charge and discharge, the lithium ion secondary battery 100 is used between a discharge-stop charging depth SOCDand a charge-stop charging depth SOCC, and the discharge-stop charging depth SOCDand the charge-stop charging depth SOCCare sequentially varied between a lower-limit charging depth SOCBand an upper-limit charging depth SOCT.
