Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicular seat capable of fully securing the strength of a head rest so as to surely protect the head region (neck region) of an occupant even when a vehicle receives a heavy load from behind. SOLUTION: In the vehicular seat 10, when the heavy load toward the rear of the vehicle is applied, the head rest 16 collapses with a seat back 14 toward the rear of the vehicle so that the upper end of an upper stay 22 gets into the opening groove of a hook 26. By this, the heavy load applied onto the head rest 16 is efficiently received. Further, in the head rest 16, engaging force in the installation engaging direction into the hook 26 (the opening groove) is increased by magnetic bonding force of a magnet so that the upper stay 22 of the head rest 16 is surely engaged within the opening groove of the hook 26 so as to be supported when the heavy load is applied, thereby eliminating the need for a special lock device or the like for supporting the head rest 16 (the upper stay 22).
