Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that conventional knee prostheses leave room for improvement in simulating the structure and operation of actual knee joints. SOLUTION: The invention relates to knee prostheses (100) that more faithfully replicate the structure and function of the human knee joint. Thereby the knee prostheses provide benefits: especially greater flexion of the knee in a more natural way by permitting internal tibial rotation in a controlled way, replication of the natural screw home mechanism, and articulation of the tibia and femur respective to each other in a more natural way. In a preferred embodiment, such prostheses include an insert (400) disposed between a femoral component (200) and a tibial component. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
