Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging device that suppresses smearing. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging device includes: a substrate 280 having a light reception unit 219 performing photoelectric conversion and a transfer channel region 204; a readout electrode 216 provided on a portion of the transfer channel region 204 across an insulating film and reading signal charges, accumulated in the light reception unit 219, out to a region positioned right below the transfer channel region 204; and a transfer electrode 214 provided on a portion of the transfer channel region 204 across the insulating film and transferring the signal charges, read out by the readout electrode 216, to the region positioned right below the transfer channel region 204. An upper part of the transfer electrode 214 is made of metal and extends to above the readout electrode 216 adjacent to at least the transfer electrode. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
