Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the acquisition of the present time in various use environments in a GPS receiving device. SOLUTION: The time indicated by time information included in a GPS signal is corrected in accordance with the current position. A trajectory line 100 having a prescribed width on the surface of the earth that is presumed to include the current position is calculated on the basis of timing information of GPS signals in two satellites A, B and ephemeris information or almanac information of the two satellites A, B. The change of use area is determined on the basis of whether the calculated trajectory line 100 traverses a set use area. When it is determined that there is no change in the use area, the time indicated by the time information of the GPS signal is corrected to the current time in accordance with the use area. When the use place is not largely changed, even in environments in which the current position cannot be calculated, the current time in accordance with the use place is obtained under a certain condition.
