Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station apparatus capable of effectively utilizing a radio resource, and a channel allocation method. SOLUTION: In order to allocate any of a plurality of radio channels to a mobile station, a base station 12 includes: a carrier sense control part 62 for controlling a radio module 30 and a reception part 40 for executing carrier sense to detect an interference level of each of the plurality of radio channels; and a channel allocation part 64 for determining whether a radio channel from which an interference level above a predetermined threshold is detected by the carrier sense can be allocated to the mobile station in accordance with the type of interference waves in the radio channel.
