Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image density estimating device which estimates the image densities of three primary colors with accuracy, without increasing the cost, as compared with prior art which do not include the present constitution, and to provide an image-forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The image-forming apparatus 10 includes a current value detecting section 76 detecting a current value, when a current is supplied to an LED radiation section 36A so that a light-receiving amount detected by a first photodiode 36B becomes a reference light-receiving amount; and a CPU 60 calculating the proportion of a light-receiving amount detected by a second photodiode 36C, relative to the current value detected by the current value detecting section 76, when a reference toner image including one among three primary colors of C, M, Y is irradiated with a light, by supplying a current of the current value detected by the current value detecting section 76.
