SOLUTION: A fuel assembly 1 including combined fuel rods 4A with upper end plug screws 5a and provided with fuel rods 4 laid out like a lattice includes combined fuel rod fixing nuts 8 screwed on the upper end plug screws 5a protruding upward from an upper tie plate 2, a key 21 fitted into key slots 22 of a corresponding combined fuel rod 4A and claws 20 which can be fitted respectively onto the outer circumference of the nuts 8 by being folded so as to surround a corresponding nut 8 and has fixing washers 9 inserted through the upper end plug screws 5a so as to be located between the nuts 8 and the upper tie plate 2.
