Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of performing reproduction display which can vicariously experience operation contents before photography by a photographer while reflecting photographer's intention to take a still picture. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes an imaging unit 2 which generates image data by converging light from a predetermined visual field region and photoelectrically converting the converged light, a display unit 4 which displays an image corresponding to the image data generated by the imaging unit, an input unit 5 to which a release signal indicating photography by the imaging unit is input, a storage unit in which operation information associated with an operation done before the photography by the imaging unit and a plurality of auxiliary images comprising images picked up automatically in sequence by the imaging unit during the operation are stored associatively with a photographed image photographed in response to input of the release signal, and a control unit which performs control to display, on the display unit, the plurality of auxiliary images associated with the photographed image before the photographed image is displayed on the display unit.
