Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a thick film type corrosion-proof coating film which achieves, through one undercoating operation and one finishing operation, an anti-corrosion effect comparable with that attainable by conventional multi-layer coating. SOLUTION: The method of forming a thick film type corrosion-proof coating film comprises undercoating an object with a weak solvent type high-solid modified epoxy resin coating containing a binder resin ingredient comprising 70-95 mass% of a modified epoxy resin of an epoxy equivalent of 400-2,000 g/eq, 1-20 mass% of an amine resin and 1-20 mass% of a reactive diluent and having a content of nonvolatile ingredients of 80-100 mass% with respect to the total mass of the coating and then finishing it with a weak solvent type high-solid polyurethane resin coating containing a binder resin comprising 65-95 mass% of a polyol resin of a hydroxyl value of 10-100 mgKOH/g and 5-35 mass% of a polyisocyanate resin and having a content of nonvolatile ingredients of 70-100 mass% with respect to the total mass of the coating.
