Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric oscillator for securing an area of a terminal on which a probe pin is abutted even in a configuration where the piezoelectric oscillator is downsized. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric oscillator includes: a substrate body; a piezoelectric oscillation element placed in a first cavity part provided on one of the main surfaces of the substrate body; an integrated circuit element placed in a second cavity part provided on the other main surface of the substrate body; a cover body for sealing the piezoelectric oscillation element of the first cavity part provided on one main surface of the substrate body; and a plurality of integrated circuit element mounting pads formed in the second cavity part provided on the other main surface of the substrate body. Prescribed two of the integrated circuit element mounting pads serve as crystal terminals electrically connected to the piezoelectric vibration elements, and the crystal terminals are used as monitor terminals for examining an electric property of the piezoelectric oscillation elements.
