Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus that does not give discomfort to a driver. SOLUTION: Visible light of a wavelength in the visible region and infrared light of a wavelength in the infrared region are radiated from behind an instrument panel as irradiation light, and the irradiation light passes through the instrument panel as transmitted light. When the radiation part of the vehicle is operated and the engine of the vehicle is stopped, the intensity of the irradiation light is controlled mainly according to an environment light illuminance detected by an environment light detection part. When both the radiation part of the vehicle and the engine of the vehicle are operated, on the other hand, the intensity of the irradiation light is controlled mainly according to a recognition result notified from a recognition part.
