Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pavement marking articles which exhibits retroreflective properties under a dry or wet condition. SOLUTION: In the pavement marking articles including an optical element and a reflection layer, the optical element has an exposed-lens surface part and an embedded lens surface part in a single layer. The articles have a spacing layer, the optical element is partially embedded in the spacing layer and the spacing layer comes into contact with the reflection layer. The value of (the average thickness of the spacing layer/the average radius of the optical element) is in the range from [-0.2+exp(-3.99*(the refractive index of the optical element)+7.20)] to [0.2+exp(-3.99*(the refractive index of the optical element) +7.20)].
