Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel microporation device having a thin film tissue interface. SOLUTION: This apparatus relates to transporting substances across a biological membrane of an animal (such as a human). Specifically, an improved device is provided for forming openings in the biological membrane for delivering substances into the animal through the biological membrane for treatment applications, or extracting substances from the animal through the biological membrane for monitoring or other diagnosis applications and for increased transmembrane flux. A method for the device is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
