Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source apparatus for an endoscope for adjusting light emitting quantity considering the fluctuation of the light emitting quantity of light emitting member themselves in an endoscope system using light emitted from the plurality of light emitting members with different colors as a light source. SOLUTION: The endoscope system has the light source part 22 having the plurality of light emitting members (first to third LEDs 22a to 22c) emitting lights with different colors and in which the lights emitted from the plurality of light emitting members are used as illumination lights for obtaining endoscope images. The endoscope system has a light receiving part 26 for receiving the lights emitted from the plurality of light emitting members and not used as the illumination lights. The endoscope system has a drive part 21 for controlling the driving quantity of the plurality of light emitting members such that the color temperature of the light emitted from the light source part 22 becomes constant on the basis of the information relating to the light emitting quantity of the plurality of light emitting members from the right receiving part 26. The endoscope system has an image processing part for carrying out image processing for obtaining the endoscope images using an adjusted white balance set value with the adjustment of the driving quantity of the plurality of light emitting members carried out by the drive part 21.
