Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize line feeds other than those inserted for the beginning or the end of a paragraph and remove them all together, to provide a result of character recognition with no unnecessary line feed. SOLUTION: In the method for correcting an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) result, character recognition is performed to content including character information by use of OCR technology, line feed information other than those for the beginning and the end of the paragraph are removed and output when outputting the result obtained by the character recognition, and the resultant words separated with spaces are proofread. Consequently, the character recognition result is provided without unnecessary line feed, and words separated with spaces conforming to grammar, and it can be utilized for Internet retrieval service.
