Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image synthesizer capable of improving the quality of a synthesized image in a panorama mode. SOLUTION: A CPU synthesizes two field images in a partially overlapped mode, and allocates eight vertically-aligned blocks on the synthesized image. In addition, the CPU specifies two continuous blocks BK_N and BK_M among the eight blocks allocated on the synthesized image as a block group BKG of interest, and specifies a pixel belonging to a correction area CRCT defined at the block group BKG of interest as a pixel of interest. Then, the CPU refers to two luminance coefficients relevant to luminance of the two block BK_N and BK_M and a vertical position factor relevant to the vertical position of the pixel of interest to correct luminance of the pixel of interest.
