Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, for appropriately controlling the surface potential of a photoreceptor drum at the time image formation in conformation to both long-term use and short-time use of the photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes: a photoreceptor drum 10 a primary charger 5; an LED array 6; a developing device 7; a transfer device 8; a storage device 30 storing use history information of at least any one of the photoreceptor drum 10, the primary charger 5 and the LED array 6; and a controller 50 which causes the storage device 30 to store the use history information and controls image formation based on the use history information. The use history information is information for the usage of at least any one of the photoreceptor drum 10, the primary charger 5 and the LED array 6, and the elapsed time after use start of the photoreceptor drum 10.
